This is the largest mower in the Mountfield Princess range, at 42cm cutting width, this 3 in 1 mower was launched for the 2012 season and is considered to be an iconic design by many. From the fully folding handles to the large diameter rear wheels and integrated rear roller, this is a premium quality mower. The underside of the cutting deck features an anti-scalp comb, which improves the cutting finish and enhances collection. The rear roller between the wheels gives that desirable striped effect when used on the lower cutting heights. The rear roller has the additional benefit of preventing scalping, when cutting up to the edge of the lawn.
The rear grass deflector flap has a vision window so the user can see when the collector is full.
The Princess 42 is a 3 in 1 mower; it can collect the grass clippings in its 50 litre collector, rear discharge the grass clippings with the rear grass deflector or mulch the grass clippings, using the mulching plug supplied with the mower.
The Princess 42 also benefits from a 2 year warranty.

Really nice light machine to use, nice wide blade. Good in every way except the height adjustment which breaks very easily. We have already had 2 machines both of which broke at exactly the same point.

Having been borrowing a relatives Bosch Rotek mower I can safely say that this Mountfield is in different class. Very well made and powerful and the mulching attachment is great bonus. Its early days but I would highly recommend it.

This mower is fantastic and great value. It was delivered within 48hours, easy to put together out of the box and cuts the grass extremely well. it even collects all of the grass when wet and fully fills the grass collection box. It is also sturdy but easy to manoeuvre. To be very picky the only negative thing i can think of is the glass window on the grass collection box is not great. Mine steamed up but also the grass stuck to it. Other than that well pleased and would buy another one.
