On this self propelled Mountfield SP465R lawnmower, the Honda engine provides drive to the rear roller, as well as the cutting blade, so you don't have to push the mower to make it move. This machine is easy to use, and really comes into it's own if your garden has any slopes.
With a cutting width 46cm/18" the Mountfield SP465R, has 5 cutting heights, ranging from 20mm to 70mm, which can be changed using a single lever.
This versatile mower is fitted with a 160cc Honda GCV160 engine, and supplied with a 55 litre grass collector and rear roller, for a clean, neat, striped finish. Other features of the SP465R include an indicator, to show when the collector needs emptying, and a wash link to facilitate cleaning the deck after use.
Suitable for gardens up to 40m x 40m.

I recently purchased this lawn mower to replace a 4 year old 17" Honda with rear roller which had started to become impractical as it was getting too heavy, having to negotiate two sets of steps and having to cut 5 lawns each one having their own size and characteristics.
I went to my local lawn mower specialist (Belmont Lawn Mowers in South Normanton, Derbyshire) where I purchased my Honda from.
They were brilliant by offering me sound advise on the good and bad points of each of their mower types.
Eventually I settled for the Mountfield SP465R with rear roller and 18" cut and it looked amazing in Silver and Red.
I took it home and tried it out that same evening and I was amazed at the ease of operation, so much lighter than the Honda and easier to manoeuver considering the extra width of cut........but the best bit was the striped finish which was so much better than the Honda with the contrasting colours of the stripes being very effective but the quality of cut was (is) amazing.
I`ve now been using this mower once or twice a week for a couple of months and it`s still the best lawn mower that I`ve ever had the pleasure of owning.........it`s definitely as good as it looks.
Dependant upon your lawn type I would recommend this lawn mower to anyone.(Posted on 13/07/2015)
