Suitable for more arduous workloads, this MC846 is the largest model in the Mountfield chainsaw range. Powered by a 45cc 2-stroke engine, which runs on a 50:1 petrol/oil mixture, it has an electronic ignition for easy starting and a 40cm/16" sprocket nose guide bar, with a 0.058" pitch .325" chain.

Features include an automatic and adjustable chain lubrication system, front position chain tensioner, double acting chain brake, anti-vibration mountings and a primer pump.

Weighing 5.3kg (excluding bar and chain) this saw is well balanced, with an excellent power to weight ratio and a rated noise level of 112 dB(A).  Chain speed is 21.2 metres per second.
